Pressure treatment is what lets a timber sit in wet soil without rotting out from the buried face first. It is the reason a treated 6x6 makes a raised bed or a stair stringer that lasts and an untreated one does not.

Sold by the piece and by the bundle. 6x6x8 pressure-treated timber is a stocked size. Measure the run and add for cuts.
